All plants thrive best in specific PH ranges. Some plants prefer acidic or lower pH values and others prefer more alkaline conditions which have higher pH values.

USES

This pH meter will help you create the most ideal soil conditions for all your plants. Simply by inserting the probe into the medium you will quickly be able to ascertain what the pH value of the soil is and be able to take corrective steps if necessary.

Although a basic chart is included here are a few common ideal pH ranges for popular plants:

• Roses: 6 – 6.5
• Azalea: 4.5 – 5.5
• Phalaenopsis orchid: 5.5 – 6.5
• Protea: less than 6
